Robert Hollis primarily practices in the areas of real estate, contracts, land-use and zoning, municipal law, commercial real estate development, business organizations, construction contracts, legal counsel to political subdivisions, title insurance, and business transactions. His work includes representing client interests in all legal aspects of real estate related projects such as the following: shopping center development, construction, leasing, sales, and management; residential subdivision development; condominium formation, construction, and operation; apartment complex acquisition, development, management, and sales; redevelopment; and, industrial developments.

He also handles legal matters such as: financing of projects, including standard lender financing, equity investments, Tax Increment Financing (TIF), and other complex financing matters; negotiation and drafting of leases, including residential, commercial, and land leases; negotiation and restructuring of debt; loan workouts; real estate closings; general corporate matters, including corporate governance, business formation and acquisition, franchising, stock and asset purchases, and business planning; local government issues related to development, including plan approvals, incentives, zoning, variances, platting, conditional use permits, development agreements, performance contracts, annexation agreements, and redevelopment agreements; and, the formation and operation political subdivisions including, transportation development districts (TDD) and community improvement districts (CID).

In the course of representing clients, Mr. Hollis prepares and negotiates agreements and other documents such as the following: leases, purchase and sale agreements, real estate closing documents, deeds, indemnity agreements, easements and joint use agreements, operating agreements, bylaws, articles of incorporation and organization, shareholders’ agreements, buy-sell agreements, loan documents (including promissory notes, loan agreements, security agreements, deeds of trust, guaranties, subordination agreements, assignments of leases, and collateral assignments), stock purchase agreements, employment agreements, settlement agreements, 1031 exchange documents, forbearance agreements, consulting and employment agreements, intergovernmental and cooperative agreements, joint venture agreements, condominium declarations, homeowners association declarations, and related documents.

Mr. Hollis was born on May 22, 1969 in West Plains, Missouri and is a business owner and former mathematics teacher.
